The VW Golf Alltrack has never been sold in the United States before, but after Volkswagen’s most recent press release, that’s about to change! The VW Golf Alltrack is based on the popular Golf SportWagen and has been a top choice for drivers who desire a ride with crisp handling. The Golf Alltrack has been available in Europe for years, but this fall, the newest model will hit United States shores!
The 2017 VW Golf Alltrack will feature 4MOTION all-wheel drive and offers all the capability of an all-terrain vehicle without the rough exterior. Off-Road Mode goes hand-in-hand with the new all-wheel drive system and makes this model more capable than ever before.
A 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that pumps out 170 hp and 199 lb-ft of torque powers the off-road-capable model. Drivers wanting to control gear shifting should wait until the six-speed manual transmission releases following the launch of the Golf Alltrack.
While the exterior looks entirely different from the Golf SportWagen, the interior is a different story. The layout is similar but the Golf Alltrack sees premium materials, like leatherette seating surfaces, and aluminum pedal covers plus Alltrack branding.
We at Gossett VW Porsche can’t wait for the arrival of the 2017 VW Golf Alltrack!
